"Be the Church" Sunday.

At Northwest Community Church we are committed to helping those in our area and outside. Through the generous donation of time, talents and tithes of our congregation, we have been able to help these organizations already established in our local community.
S.O.N. Ministries- We regularly collect donations for this local Food Pantry housed at Groesbeck United Methodist Church.
One Way Farm Ministry - Every 1st and 3rd Sunday evening we join with Pleasant Run Presbyterian Church to provide food, fellowship and worship to the residents and staff of this home for abandoned and abused children and youth.
Community Meal Center-The 3rd Friday of the month, is all about providing a good meal. Volunteers head to the Presbyterian Church of Hamilton Meal Center, where they either cook or serve a hot nutritious meal those who need it most - the homeless of Hamilton.
Sharing Hope in Colerain Township -One of our newest mission projects, Sharing Hope is a coalition of many area churches. We are working together to help the residents of Colerain township.
G.R.A.D.S. – We help Colerain High School with their program to keep young pregnant students in school by supplying clothing and infant-care products.
Kings Closet- In conjunction with SON Ministries, the Closet provides clothing for infants through kindergarten-aged children of disadvantaged families.
● Ronald McDonald House- Members help supply a meal, either by cooking or serving, at the Ronald McDonald House.

Storm Relief Mission Trips - Through Presbyterian Disaster Assistance we participate in regular mission trips to help recover and rebuild homes devastated by natural disasters.
Packages for our troops-
We remember our troops overseas while we are at the store.  A box is set out asking for donations of just about anything.  Items include socks, mints, writing paper, sugar-free juice mixes.  The items are boxed up and sent to our soldiers.  If you know of someone that is currently serving our country and would like a package from home, please let a member of the mission team know.

Besides the above mentioned missions, we have received donations to aid in the Haiti and Japan relief effort, helped a local family with 4 children whose house burned, collected eye glasses for those that need them yet have none, asked for donations of old magazines and books to help those who can not read.

Do some mission right now and everyday!  Here are two very easy ways to help the hungry in God's world: The Hunger Site  click the Give Free Food button and sponsors pay for a cup of food. Free Rice is an online vocabulary game that donates 10 grains of rice for each correct answer. See how many cups you can give.  Both are free to the user but have incredible payoff for the recipients of your time.
