DECEMBER MISSION

December Christmas Giving

Throughout the month of December we will collect for PCUSA’s Christmas Joy Offering. By giving to the Christmas Joy Offering, you honor God’s gift of Jesus Christ by providing assistance to current and retired church workers in their time of need and developing our future leaders at Presbyterian-related schools and colleges equipping communities of color.  Look for CJO giving envelopes in your bulletins and the pews or give by check or by using our online giving tool.
THANK YOU, as always, for your generous giving!

SON Ministries November Collection

In addition to our weekly loose change offering, we are supporting SON’s monthly collection requests. SON will be serving well over 300 people with holiday boxes this Christmas. As is the case with all pantries, they are experiencing serious shortages of everything. SON will accept any non-perishable food items as well as laundry and personal care items at any time. If you’d like to contribute and are able, please drop your donations at SON on Monday’s between 10 and Noon or Wednesdays 10 to Noon or 4:30-6:30. Please share SON’s need with your families and friends.
Give financially via the church’s online giving tool (use link in header or below). When giving financially, designate “SON Dec”.

SON-Meijer Simply Give Program through December
SON thanks you for your generosity over this past year in supporting SON Ministries. Meijer gives SON Ministries the opportunity in their Simply Give Program to get store credit for food for our pantry. This program is running from October-December 31,2022 at the Meijer Stonecreek store only. If would like to help in December, go to Meijer Stonecreek on Colerain Ave., get a Simply Give card near the checkout and donate at the register, there are 3 ways to help us:
1) Now thru Dec. 31 – donate $10 at Meijer Stonecreek, and SON gets $20 credit.
2) DECEMBER 17, SATURDAY DOUBLE DAY at Meijer Stonecreek,
donate $10 and SON gets $30 credit.
In the first nine months of 2022, we have served 400 additional families for the same period in 2021. With food and meat costs increasing and our community needs growing, this Meijer credit helps us immensely in getting food. Our heartfelt appreciation goes out to each and every one of you!
