This annual event started out as “Be The Church Sunday” and has evolved into “Fall into Mission.” Every Fall we go forth into our community to complete mission projects such as landscaping at schools and not-for-profit ministries, conducting Worship services at local assisted living/nursing care facilities, building wheelchair ramps for community members and providing lunch for Ronald McDonald House residents. We also have missions to benefit the church and local ministries that can be completed in-house to enable all our members to participate – things like making cards for Deacon use or donation to care facilities, making sandwiches for Our Daily Bread and sorting clothing for our King’s Closet Clothing Ministry.

This year’s FALL INTO MISSION event was held on SEPTEMBER 24th. We enjoyed a brief, but creative, Worship service followed by a tasty lunch and great fellowship. This year, 20 birthday bags were made for SON Ministries clients, 120+ PBJ sandwiches were made and taken to Our Daily Bread Soup Kitchen and Social Center, clothes were sorted and hung in King’s Closet, cards were made for Deacon’s to use, weeding/yard work was completed at Jo and Steve Liming’s house, a shut-in was visited, books were cleaned and bagged for Side by Side, several rooms were cleaned and straightened, windows were cleaned, a significant amount of weeding was done around our building, and a great lunch was served. THANK YOU! everyone, for your faithfulness in making this another great event where we were able to serve our Lord in a “hands-on” way.
